The Early Years section of the school takes children from Pre-School (3+ years of age) to Reception (4 to 5 years of age).  They are located in a self contained building with an active, happy and caring environment for children of varied cultural backgrounds. It has two fully equipped playgrounds and a shaded quadrangle for assemblies, physical education and fun days.

There are 5 Pre-School and 5 Reception classes with approximately 22 children per class.

In the Pre-School we work towards the following aims:

• Happy children thriving in a positive learning environment
• Children who learn to socialise with others and can share and play together
• Children who can understand and speak English
• Improvement in children's coordination and skills

Staff

All the teaching staff are first-language English teachers and are very keen and enthusiastic. They work together as a team, sharing ideas and cooperating with each other. The staff work hard to create a happy, friendly and caring learning environment.

Parents

Parental support is very good and parents are keen for their children to succeed. There is a great deal of communication between staff and parents forming positive relationships and understandings between school and home.
