Hairy Maclary, Slinky Malinki, Scarface Claw and The Gruffalo were among some of the characters who were brought to life during the recent book week in Years 1 and 2.

Children have been fascinated with the rhyming stories of Julia Donaldson and Lynley Dodd and some brilliant poetry of their own has come out of this focused week.  The children topped off the week by coming to school dressed as a book character.  Even the teachers found a costume to wear; we all enjoyed seeing Mr Doohan dressed up as the “Big Bad Wolf”.  Well done to everyone who got into character for the day.
