Qatar International School

We begin our French teaching in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). Some of the pupils are building on knowledge and skills acquired previously, while new entrants to the school are often studying French for the first time.

Our lessons reflect this, providing both introduction to and reinforcement of topics covered in earlier years, while also adding reading and writing to the skills to be acquired. In Years 3 and 4 we use 'Le Petit Pont', while in Years 5 and 6 we begin the Nelson Thornes course 'Route Nationale', studying Book 1 over the two years.
