We have just received the results from Januarys AS and A2 Examinations in Mathematics and they are fantastic.
In Year 11 our first cohort of Accelerated Students sat their C1 Exam, of which a staggering 89% achieved a grade A.

Contrary to popular belief, the Villaggio mall does not have a river, and as a result, during the February half-term, 28 students and 3 staff went looking for one in Spain.

International Day took place on Tuesday 26th January. On this occasion, our students were given the opportunity to think about cultural differences and looked at many traditional costumes.

Throughout last term, the Spanish Club spent their after-school sessions learning about Spanish food and preparing for a party. After sending out some beautiful invitations, several teachers and friends came to the party on 16th December.

At Q.I.S., we recognise the importance of reading, and the positive impact it has on a child’s success in education. In celebration of the readers that we have at school, the English Department, along with the charity committee, arranged a series of activities and events over the course of a week, culminating in World Book Day on March 4th.

In January we had a Year 7 Geography Trip around Doha, and it was amazing! We all had so much fun, and we learnt stuff too!

Music Club is every Wednesday so come along and learn to play a musical instrument... or sing.... or maybe even have a dance. Everybody is welcome – from beginners to experts ....

Congratulations to the English groups taught by Ms. Earl and Mrs Kearns. These students were entered for the CIE IGCSE First Language examination in November and the results came through on the 25th of January.
In total 34 students sat the exam and there was a 100% pass rate A*-C. Moreover, 25 students out of the 33 entered achieved an A*-A grade!
Well done to all the students and their teachers and keep up the good work until the summer.
