Design Technology at QIS is developing fast . We have more tools, materials and computers than last year and have more exciting plans to make the workshop a more user friendly and better equipped environment.

The new projects at Key Stage 3 have been a success and the Year 9 Mechanical Fish project has been improved to make the movement of the fish even more life-like.

The Minilight project in Year 8 has introduced making that not only has to be done on a small and detailed scale , but it has to be decorative and accurate. When gently squeezed, the minilight will light up. But only if all the components are neatly and accurately put together.

Key Stage 4 students are producing consistently excellent work in both year groups.  Some  IGCSE  coursework this year is quite exceptional.. Just take a look at the photographs and make up your own mind.

The work is a credit to the creativity and hard work of students at QIS.
