Throughout last term, the Spanish Club spent their after-school sessions learning about Spanish food and preparing for a party. After sending out some beautiful invitations, several teachers and friends came to the party on 16th December.
The students bought in all sorts of Spanish food from Spanish cheese and olives to homemade tortillas and quesadillas. Cora-Lotte Meitzner made an excellent pass the parcel with Spanish forfeits such as counting to 10 in Spanish and doing a salsa dance. Hakseong Kim and Ali made an indestructible piñata which took over 20 minutes to break into before hundreds of sweets scattered all over the room. With Spanish music and some dancing the fiesta was a lovely end to the term.
